A common Misconception about Psychics!

Today, I thought I’d share with you a common misconception about Psychics.
And that is…
That we know everything!
People often think that if you are gifted with connecting with spirit, being able to tune in to that which many don’t see, knowing things before they happen, or seeing the end result of certain situations… that you have the ability to know everything that’s going to happen… for everyone! Not only in our clients lives but in our personal lives as well.
And that simply is not the case.
The truth of the matter is that we are here, on earth, as spiritual beings having a human experience as well. Although we have a gift, which everybody does, we still have our own experiences and lessons to learn and grow from. If we were to know everything that was going to happen in our lives, or in the lives of those around us, then what would be the point in our being here in this physical world? We can’t just be here to tell others what is going to happen.. no way!
We are ALL here to learn and grow and expand.
Everyone!
And just because someone is psychic doesn’t mean that they don’t have the same opportunities to learn and grow. Yes, we can tune into others energy, connect with their loved ones, see what is coming to them and through them. Absolutely, we can do that, some more clearly than others. Why is that? I don’t know exactly… and I am OK with that?
It just is.
There are times in my life when I don’t see what’s going to happen. This picture to the left was fromIMG_6023 July 18, 1987. I was 16 years old. I couldn’t sleep and wrote down what I was feeling. It’s hard to read but it says: “I don’t know why I am writing this. It is 12:01 and I have this weird feeling something not to good (I never have liked to say bad) is going to happen. But, I don’t know what, when or who to. It’s just a weird creepy feeling. I don’t know.” Three months later we found out my dad was having an affair. As you can imagine, it was life changing for us all.
Still to this day, this happens. I’ll get a feeling or sense around something but I don’t know what it means. That happens a lot in my personal life. Can that be frustrating sometimes? YES! But, the truth is…
I’m not supposed to know.
It is as simple as that. And gratefully, I have had it happen enough in my life that I am accepting of it now.
Just like in your life, there are certain times, I bet especially if you can look back.. and see that you weren’t not supposed to know. That it would have changed everything. You may get some guidance from the Angels, your Guides and even a psychic. And ultimately, it will play out for your highest good.
The guidance you receive is meant to support you in making healthy choices, but it doesn’t direct you into the exact choice. At least that is the way it works with me.
Ya know, it’s that whole FREE WILL thing:)
What I know to be true is that if I knew everything that was going to happen in my life before it happened, it would change everything. I would likely choose something different seeing from a perspective of all knowing. I’d show up differently.. I would have to. Then I would miss the lessons and the blessings. And the truth is… I wouldn’t change any bit of my life. Not one minute.
Why?
Because changing one minute, would change it all. I truly believe that.
So… Psychics don’t know everything, and most of the ones I know don’t claim to. If we did know it all there would be nothing for us to learn… nothing to grow from… nothing to expand into. There would be no purpose in being in a physical body… not for us.
How do I know this?
Psychics are everyday people, just like you.
Living our lives the best way we can… just like you.
We are faced with blessings, challenges and everything in between.. just like you.
As a matter-of-fact… I would say that you too, are psychic!
You get gut feelings.. just like us.
You have knowings that are unexplainable…just like us.
You have connections with spirit… just like us.
You may not have developed it to the level that some of us have, but EVERYONE has the gift.. and everyone is intuitive.. or psychic.. to some extent… just like us!!
So, WE are just like YOU!
We are all just Living the DREAM!!

  1. Great article and very true for me also. I wonder why after having the gift of being able to connect with the other side I haven’t used it until now? I did write articles for two SW Arizona newspapers, but moved from AZ and let that go…why? And here I am now, later in life ready to settle down and help others connect with their loved ones. I suppose because I have settled down, but my guides won’t say, because the don’t want to spoil the surprise. And I love them for that.

  2. I no longer want life lessons. I can no longer deal with them. I believe I have experienced enough and have nothing left to give. Is there a way to opt out? If there is, I want to know how. Being overcome by grief is too much to endure.

No way to opt out that I know of but you can change the way you see it. I am not saying it is easy, but it is possible. I am surrounding you in tons of love my friend.

  3. My main question is do you believe in God? I was always taught that psychics were ungodly. The bible says do not worship false gods. I just want your honest opinion on all of this. I do believe there are spirits around us. I have witnessed this recently with my best friend who died suddenly leaving her 5 month old baby and 17 year old daughter.

  4. This is so perfectly written! I now have a better way to explain to my kids and friends that I can not give them the winning lottery numbers! I also agree that everyone has the gift, in fact everyone has a lot of hidden talents/gifts but are drawn to develop in different ways to their own soul’s calling and journey.

  5. Thank you for being so brave to share this with us, Sunny. We are all learning to open up to new ways of thinking and feeling. Knowing all the answers is not much fun when playing the game of LIFE. Rather, better to make choices, learn from mistakes, and help by teaching others through our stories. A reason for keeping my journals and diaries since the age of ten. Reviewed them and sure has helped me. Do this every year around certain occasions and holidays. Helps me do a life review, what I learned, who helped me, and how important it is to use that knowledge as I go forward. What a special angel you are here amongst us. Hugs and love, Linda
