Hey my friend…
It seems like we just had Christmas and all of the sudden we are 1/2 way through the year. It’s funny, as I type this, I remember as a little girl, my Grandma would always say, every year, every time we had a Holiday or a get together, something about how time just keeps flying by. She was always referencing how fast time was moving, but in my world, it seemed to move very slowly. I remember thinking as a child, how odd it was that we had two completely different perspectives. I had wished for time to fly by; for summer to get here, or for Christmas break to get here more quickly. Typical kid thoughts. But, I also remember thinking to myself, how it is that time, something everyone has the same amount of, can be perceived so differently? How does it fly by for her and go at a snail’s pace for me?
Now that I am older, it doesn’t seem so odd anymore. Can you relate?

Time is flying by… quicker some days than I would like. This year, 2015, is a year of milestones and celebration in my family. My youngest son, Arizona, graduated from High School in May. My husband competed in the most elite sailing regatta in the US, the Great Texas 300. My oldest son, Crew, is getting a huge promotion at his job next month. And… my baby is turning 18 and heading off to college this fall. Yup… Grandma was right! As I typed that last line, my Grandma, who left this physical world on 1/11/11 stands right beside me, correcting me (she would do that too). She says, “Sunny… it doesn’t fly by anymore. There is no time.” – Thanks Grandma for the validation that there is no time in the Spirit world!
However here in the physical world, we do have time.
Speaking of time, my team and I have been using our “time” to create a better way of communicating with our newsletter peeps! 1. Totally understand what you mean, Sunny, about how we view how slow and how fast time goes by, depending on where we are in life; when a child, then a teenager, and then an adult, and now a much older adult. When young, it seemed like forever between Christmas and then July, my birthday. So blessed to learn that time was “relative.” As spent joyful times together with family, often visiting my Grandmother who made them into wonderful special occasions, which are such fond memories. May everyone share a safe and memorable 4th of July. Thank you so very much, Sunny, for making our days sparkle with your smile!
