Today is the day!!!!!

Today is the day my baby graduates from high school…. my baby.
It’s the end…
or is it the beginning?
I guess that depends on where I choose to look.
Yes, it is the end of high school… and all that comes with that.
And, it is the beginning of college.. and all that comes with that.
It’s the end of a home with a teenager as he leaves to live the dorm life.
It’s the beginning of a home with a husband and wife….
something we have never experienced as I had a two year old when we met.
It’s the end of loud music in the morning, noon and night.
It’s the beginning quiet mornings, noons and nights.
It’s the end of friends stopping by at all hours, sleeping all over the floors and eating all the food.
It’s the end of unplanned and unprepared for last minute events…
Who am I kidding.. those will never end 🙂
It truly is the end of life as we know it….
and the beginning of a new and even better life that we can only imagine right now.
There are many ends…. and many new beginnings…
It’s funny, I thought I would feel sad.. but I don’t. I am so excited for the opportunity that he has, for the life that he has created for himself and for his ability to make choices that are best for him…. that all I feel is JOY! I LOVE that he is going to experience the college life, and all that comes with it. I am thrilled that both of my sons chose a different journey than I did. Mine was perfect for me, but man am I SUPER happy that they have chosen and created their lives intentionally.
I know I will have some tears, and there will be some things I will miss….

AND…
I am so excited to witness where his journey takes him.
This is one amazing kid and I am so happy that he chose me as his Mother. I am blessed!
