Today, I was guided to pick a card for you out of my Archangel Oracle Deck. I hope that it brings you some guidance, direction and comfort today. As you read it, just take a minute to breathe it in and see how it might resonate with you.
Step 9 – “Appreciation”
Appreciation is knowing or understanding the value of an experience and is often expressed with feelings of gratitude. In this step, it specifically means to honor an experience with open arms and a healed heart. Oftentimes, once appreciation is experience, forgiveness follows.

  1. My Mother recently fell and is in serious condition in the hospital. As I was comforting her, I knelt down and next thing you know her face was touching mine. She leaned on me and we both sat quiet in that moment. I felt her energy change. It was the first time that I recognized and felt my mother being vulnerable. My immediate reaction was fear, fear of loosing her. In almost the same instant, I was able to recognize I had a choice of not focusing on that fear and focusing and appreciating the moment. My energy changed and it was a beautiful moment. One I will cherish. Mom and I have some tough history between us, but none of that matters now.

  2. This card means a great deal to me, Sunny. I took a moment and then two experiences came to mind, which happened around forty years ago. One went from being a misunderstanding to one that has turned into a valuable friendship. One which was taking a risk turned out to be a most memorable trip that allowed me to understand and experience the value of nature by seeing and hearing it as it was originally experienced by our ancestors. Taking that trip with people that I was apprehensive joining turned into a memory that is precious to this day.
