Invocation:  I invoke the blue light of Archangel Michael to surround me, protect me and help me maintain my energy from any negative energy or entities seen or unseen. I ask that I be a channel of divine love and healing to everyone I cross paths with. I ask for courage, strength and faith so that I may walk this earth with an open heart and an open mind. Thank you for the true and perfect guidance that surrounds me each and every moment … and so it is!

Visualization:  As I invoke Archangel Michael, I visualize a sapphire blue bubble – like an energy field completely surrounding me.  I imagine myself completely embraced by this beautiful brilliant energy, and as I do, I know that I am completely surrounded and protected from any negative energy.

 

Call in Archangel Michael every morning – or whatever form works best for you – and be intentional in maintaining your own energy and asking for that support in whatever way that works for you.

TODAY – Practice: Observe, Don’t Absorb

TODAY – Energy check-ins for a couple of minutes throughout the day, every hour if possible – make a note about any of your energy responses or reactions you observed in that hour. (This helps you to start to be aware of your energy … and where you might gain it, or lose it … and recognize where you can generate it yourself.)

At the end of day, journal on your entire awareness of how you absorbed or observed energy during today’s experiences; also look at past experiences to see how you might have taken responsibility for things that are not yours … and share about any of those in the group if you can.

Day 5: Measurement & Comparison – 1 hour, 3 minutes

Comparison

We can have comparison or we can have awareness of our gifts. The two cannot co-exist. In order to compare, something has to be less than. Comparison, then, comes from a belief in lack. Truly, the only thing we can compare is what we are lacking. When we are present with our gifts, we do not compare ourselves with others.

Comparison uses the measurement of judgment. That is why when we compare ourselves to others, we lose sight of our being, of who we are.

There are so many things we fear we won’t measure up to. We live in fear of not measuring up to expectations, to each other, to the jobs we do, to our parents, to our children, to our own potential. We say, the problem isn’t that we don’t measure up. The problem is, we get caught up in comparison, in using the measurement of judgment. Truly, whatever we judge, whomever we judge, is of no use to us. For we have lost sight of their gifts.

It is interesting that we call our measurement, our comparison devices, ruler for they do indeed rule us. The moment we move into judgment; we move off center, we move out of the awareness of our own and other’s gifts.

What if instead of trying to measure up to some standard, we could invite the Divine’s best, our inner best to come forth. This invitation brings all the gifts forward to be expressed and experienced. What is jealousy but a comparison to a perceived lack? What is insecurity but a belief we must compare ourselves to another’s life, another’s accomplishments?

Comparison is a lose-lose proposition, for if you compare yourself and find yourself “wanting”, you lose sight of what is truly within you. If you compare yourself to another and find yourself “better than” you have lost sight of the worth of that person.

We invite you to see that you’ll never measure up to anything, for measurement can never be satisfied; it has its basis in lack, in not seeing the gifts within us. It is time to see comparison for what it really is—it is the place where we lose sight of our connection to Source, and all the gifts of Source. Our gifts cannot be measured. Who we are cannot be compared—it is priceless.

 

TODAY – Release – throw out/hide/give away – the Scale (or whatever you use to measure/compare)

 

Release the Judgement … Journal on these questions and share in the group if you can:

  1. How do I compare myself … to others, or my past self?
  2. If I compare myself to how I used to be, what else do I have to take with that (so I have clarity about the whole past package)
  3. How does/has this shown up in my life?
  4. What might happen if I released the comparison?
  5. Where do you see your triggers?
  6. Can I release the scale? What does that feel like to even think about?
  7. What am I really scared of?

 

TODAY – Throughout today, be aware of any measurement (or judgement) that comes up.

At the end of the day, journal about your insights and awareness.

THE MASK I WEAR

Don’t be fooled by me.
Don’t be fooled by the face I wear
for I wear a mask. I wear a thousand masks-
masks that I’m afraid to take off
and none of them are me.
Pretending is an art that’s second nature with me
But don’t be fooled, for God’s sake, don’t be fooled.
I give you the impression that I’m secure
That all is sunny and unruffled with me
within as well as without,
that confidence is my name
and coolness my game,
that the water’s calm
and I’m in command,
and that I need no one.
But don’t believe me. Please!

My surface may be smooth but my surface is my mask,
My ever-varying and ever-concealing mask.
Beneath lies no smugness, no complacence.
Beneath dwells the real me in confusion, in fear, in aloneness.
But I hide this.
I don’t want anybody to know it.
I panic at the thought of my weaknesses
and fear exposing them.

They’re nonchalant, sophisticated facades to help me pretend,
To shield me from the glance that knows.
But such a glance is precisely my salvation,

I keep my mask right with me,

The August 21 Eclipse will bring new opportunities to consciously co-create your world. If you seize them, these openings have the potential to change your identity – who you believe you are. You may experience an intense desire to make drastic and sudden changes if you believe it will increase your freedom to follow your bliss.

 

During a total eclipse, the Sun, Moon and Earth are aligning and that has significant energy. I’m sure you have all felt the effects from the vibration and frequency of the energy everywhere – things like being super-sensitive to other’s emotions and energy … being irritated more easily, biting your tongue to avoid conflict … but the best part of it is a chance to reset. You can choose to start fresh from an expanded and clear place and go into your creation and reaping mode.

It’s also a perfect time to heal relationships that have felt completely lost to you. This is the time to let the old hurt surface and heal once and for all. This time allows the true you to reveal itself and connect on levels that you’ve never imagined. It gives you the ability to call in your inner guidance system for more clear knowledge and answers, a heightened intuition and also to turn into that abundance magnet. If you have struggles: health issues, relationship issues – this is the time to line up that energy because it’s so powerful. Get into the mode of receiving; get into the mode of being; and knowing that you are deserving of health, wellness, abundance, happiness, joy, peace, harmony, connectedness, support and friendship.

Go outside and burn the paper; Get Rid of the Old Story.

 

TODAY – Use the opposite of the old story to Write your New Story: Who you are and what you are aligning with TODAY.

Ask our angels to release the energy connected to that old story.

TODAY –  Read the Body Fun Facts worksheet twice today

TODAY –  Do a complete Body Scan twice today (using a mirror if possible, top to bottom or bottom to top). Observe how you feel about each part of your body. Recognize what you feel, acknowledge it, then focus on the FUNCTIONALITY of that body part.

Pick out the body part you do not like the most. Go deeper into the scars or the parts you deny, ignore or hate …

Journal:

  • What did you become aware of in your Body Scan?
  • What feelings came up about that body part?
  • Now focus on the FUNCTIONALITY of that body part. Bring in the true APPRECIATION of the miracle that you are …
  • How is your body working for YOU?

  • Your heart pumps approximately 2000 gallons (7571 liters) of blood through its chambers every single day. It beats more than 100,000 times a day to achieve this incredible feat.
  • You take around 17,000 breaths a day on average, and don’t have to think about a single one of them. Yet if you want to stop breathing temporarily, you can voluntarily hold your breath. A typical pair of adult lungs can hold a huge six liters of air.
  • Every day your body ensures you don’t contract cancer thousands of times over. Cancer is formed when cells are altered in a way which re-programs their DNA and it’s estimated that tens of thousands of cells suffer cancer-causing lesions every day. But the body sends special enzymes scuttling around to inspect DNA strands for faults and fix them before they turn into tumors.
  • Your brain doesn’t stop working. It’s estimated that about 50,000 thoughts pass through it each day on average, although some scientists put the figure closer to 60,000. That is a whopping 35-48 thoughts every minute.
  • The cells in your stomach lining produce an alkaline substance every few milliseconds to neutralize stomach acid. If they didn’t do this, your stomach would digest itself because some of the acids are strong enough to dissolve metals.
  • You blink about 28,000 times every day, with each one lasting just a tenth of a second. This is a voluntary reflex the body uses to keep the eyes clean and moist, which is pretty crucial given that 90% of the information you process is visual, and you can weigh up any visual scene in just 0.01 seconds. Consider how many people and objects you look at every day – it’s remarkable!
  • Most of the body’s energy is expelled via heat. Your body produces the same heat as 25 light bulbs over the course of a single day.
  • Red blood cells literally shoot around the body, taking less than 60 seconds to complete a full circuit. This means that each of yours makes 1440 trips around your body every day, delivering oxygen and keeping your body energized. Each cell lives for about 40 days, before being replaced by a younger model. It’s no surprise their life span is short, having made 60,000 trips around the body, they must be exhausted.
  • You shed more than 1 million skin cells every single day but they are constantly replenished automatically, to save you from turning transparent and being rather exposed! Your skin is actually an organ; in fact it’s the largest organ you have, with a surface area of 18 square feet (2 square meters).
  • Your hair (if you still have any) grows about half a millimeter per day, and an average adult with a full scalp has around 100,000 hairs on their head. So that’s a combined 50 meters of hair growth every, single day.
  • The brain and the mouth work together to allow us to speak an average of around 5000 words a day. Well that’s if you’re a woman, because studies suggest that men only speak 2000 words, yet both sexes utter 500-700 of real value (i.e. that get a job done, or provide useful information). Will women out there have something to say about this suggestion?
  • The glands in your mouth produce an incredible 1.5 liters of saliva every day. That’s a lot of dribble! If this didn’t happen, your mouth would dry up and become overrun with bacteria, and you wouldn’t be able to digest your food.
  • The average male’s testicles manufacture 10 million new sperm every day. Those that aren’t used age and are eventually broken down inside the body, with any useful nutrients being absorbed and put to use.
  • Each of your kidneys contain 1 million tiny filters that work together to filter an average of 2.2 pints (1.3 liters) of blood every minute – that’s 3168 pints (1872 liters) every single day, despite each kidney only being the size of a fist. If that wasn’t enough, they also expel an average of 2.5 pints (1.4 liters) of urine from your body every day too.
  • You grow 8 mm every night while sleeping, before shrinking back down the next day. This saves you from some pretty hefty clothing bills and ensures you don’t have to raise the door frames every year or two.
  • Your body works over time to digest your food and the process starts before it even hits the mouth. When you smell food, your mouth automatically produces more saliva to prepare the digestive system for work. It takes about 6-8 hours for food to pass through the stomach and two days to complete the digestion process. The average person will eat over 50 tons of food in his or her lifetime, which seems ridiculous!
  • And most amazing of all, your body cells are regenerating themselves every single day without any prompting. This means you have an entirely new set of taste buds every ten days, new nails every 6-10 months, new bones every ten years and even a new heart every 20 years.
  • So next time you think your body is starting to creak, just think about all the incredible things that are happening inside it every day, because all of us really are a miracle!

The Rules for Being Human

  1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it’s yours to keep for the entire duration.
  2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time, informal school called life.
  3. There are no mistakes. Only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error and experimentation. The “failed’ experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately “work”.
  4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms, until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.
  5. Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of life that doesn’t contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are still lessons to be learned.
  6. “There” is no better than “here”. When your “there” has become “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here”.
  7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
  8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you.
  9. Your answers lie inside of you … all you need to do is look, listen and trust.
  10. You will forget all this.

“Stuff = Stuffing”

“Getting rid of “stuff” is about releasing the things that keep you stuck in a pattern that is not working for you any longer.”

“When I release items back out into the Universe, it can go back and serve another purpose and the energy of it can be used.”

“Clutter can mean blocking … keeping away.”

“How do you feel when you walk in your closet and see those clothes that don’t fit you anymore?”

“Lack” energy or “lack” mentality can continue to cycle and clutter up your thinking and vibrationally it can bleed into other areas of your life.”

“Clear the clutter in your head of thoughts that don’t really serve you; they take up space in your container.”

 

TODAY –  Take 3-5 articles of clothing out of your closet that do not serve you any longer. Give them away or at least store them out of daily sight.

Recognize the energy around those items in the closet. Tune into the energy and vibration of your clothes. Look at the energy that gets created – that you feel – when you see those clothes.

Take pictures of what you are releasing.

Share in the group: How does it feel? Why are you releasing those things? Do you feel a difference when you actually get rid of it?

 

TODAY –  Write down 3-5 “cluttery” thoughts that don’t serve the purpose that you desire to create in life any longer.

  • Bring up the thoughts
  • Look at them
  • Affirm something different
  • Release them

Example: Bring the thought up. “Thank you for sharing. I’m not interested. I choose to focus on _______.” Bring in the new message that feels good and true for you. Write that down opposite the “clutter” thought.

Do this throughout the day with those 3-5 “clutter” thoughts when they come up.
