What is sacred to you?

Sacred means to regard with reverence…There are several things that come to mind that are sacred to me… and they change. Today, in this moment, what is sacred to me is a beautiful sunny day, perfect temperature, walking with my sons, husband and two dogs. The time together is what is sacred. It isn’t often that there is time for all of us to come together and take a walk, in perfect weather. Today is one of those days! So,  the gift of precious family time is sacred to me in this moment! ~ Sunny Dawn

Question for you????

I thought i might add a question or two to my blog once in a while for you to share your answer with us here, get clarity on during a meditation or just to ponder within your own heart and mind!

The Question is:

How do you decide that something is true?

How do you decide whether or not something (a thought, a statement, an article, a piece of information, a belief….) is true for you?

What have you been taking for granted?

Time for change

The tides have turned… you are no longer closed off and held back.. physically or spiritually. You are in a changing time… and YOU have chosen to change this TIME and to CHANGE this time!

You have the gift!

You have the knowledge!

You have the wisdom!

You have the awareness!

You have the heart!

You have it all within!

When did it become OK for you to come from a place of fear?  When did it become OK to hide who you truly are and all that you have to offer? When did you decide to allow this fear to take over and keep you hidden? Love heals… Fear harms!

Are you ready to LOVE?

Are you ready to LIVE?

There has never been a more important time on our planet. Listen now….

listen closely… Can you hear that soft, gentle, quiet beat of your heart? The one that tells you that it is safe, that it is time, that all is well, that you are ready.

Now…Listen even more closely.. even more closely and you will hear them… The ones that need you… the ones that need you to share… the ones that need your gifts… your wisdom.. your awareness. Can you hear them? Your voices are one in the same! This voice is calling you forth! NOW!!!

Channeled Message 5/04/08

It is time to claim your gifts. You are here to teach, to learn and to grow… playing small and hiding does not serve humanity in any form and most importantly, does not serve you. You are being called to be the LIGHT! To share… to grow… to learn… to live… and to LOVE!

Please, embrace these gifts that are being awakened in you, that are coming through ever so subtly. It is time to recognize that there is no future, no tomorrow… there is only now! This moment!

If not now, when? If not you, who?

It is with gratitude and appreciation that we lovingly assist you in your understanding of your innate gifts and your ability to connect with us!

You are love!

You are light!

BE!

Judgment vs Opinion - from the daily om

Staying Open And Fluid
Judgment Versus Opinion
Most of us understand that when we judge someone, or someone judges us, it is a negative emotional experience. As a result, we naturally want to avoid being judgmental, but this gets confusing when we feel we have to suppress thoughts that could actually be offering us guidance. For example, we may meet someone new and suppress a negative feeling about them, thinking that we don’t want to fall into the trap of being judgmental. Later, though, it may turn out that paying attention to that thought could have helped us take care of ourselves or someone else.It is important to learn to distinguish inner guidance, and having an opinion, from judgment, otherwise we run the risk of not listening to our intuition and not allowing ourselves to form opinions. Inner guidance and opinions both help us to interact more intelligently in the world, so we don’t want to throw them out in an effort to avoid being judgmental. Our intuition usually makes itself known to us in a flash, and often has a physical component—a flutter in our stomachs, sweaty palms, or a chill. When we use this information to help us navigate a situation, we always benefit. Similarly, having an opinion about a person or an idea allows us to converse about it in a focused way with intention. Listening to our intuition and forming opinions are both positive outcomes of our ability to interpret the information that comes our way.

When we make a judgment, on the other hand, we attempt to have a final say on whether someone or something is inherently good or bad. Judgments close us down instead of opening us up; opinions have a lighter quality and are amenable to change. Once a judgment has been made, there is no more conversation or consideration, whereas opinions invite further debate. Intuition guides us from moment to moment, but, unlike judgment, never makes a final decree. In other words, it is only healthy to be open to the information we receive and to allow ourselves to process that information. As long as we stay open and fluid, we can trust that we have not fallen prey to the trap of judgment.

Lunar eclipse

Lunar eclipseDid you catch the lunar eclipse last night? It is such a cool thing to see. I always try to get outside and connect with the lunar energy when I can. Yesterdays lunar eclipse was a welcome shift for many.

In case you don’t know what a lunar eclipse is, here is a definition:

A lunar eclipse occurs at least two times a year, whenever some portion of the Earth’s shadow falls upon the Moon. The Moon will always be full during a lunar eclipse; that is, from the perspective of the Sun, the Moon will be directly behind the Earth. However, since the orbital plane of the Moon is inclined by about 5° with respect to the orbital plane of the Earth (the ecliptic), most full moons occur when the Moon is either north or south of Earth’s shadow. Thus in order to be eclipsed, the Moon must be near one of the two intersection points its orbit makes with the ecliptic, which are referred to as the Moon’s ascending and descending nodes.

The shadow of the Earth can be divided into two distinctive parts: the umbra and penumbra. Within the umbra, there is no direct solar radiation. However, as a result of the Sun’s large angular size, solar illumination is only partially blocked in the outer portion of the Earth’s shadow, which is given the name penumbra.

A penumbral eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth’s penumbra. The penumbra does not cause any noticeable darkening of the Moon’s surface, though some may argue it turns a little yellow. A special type of penumbral eclipse is a total penumbral eclipse, during which the Moon lies exclusively within the Earth’s penumbra. Total penumbral eclipses are rare, and when these occur, that portion of the Moon which is closest to the umbra can appear somewhat darker than the rest of the Moon.

The Moon does not completely disappear as it passes through the umbra because of the refraction of sunlight by the Earth’s atmosphere into the shadow cone; if the Earth had no atmosphere, the Moon would be completely dark during an eclipse. The red colouring arises because sunlight reaching the Moon must pass through a long and dense layer of the Earth’s atmosphere, where it is scattered. Shorter wavelengths are more likely to be scattered by the small particles, and so by the time the light has passed through the atmosphere, the longer wavelengths dominate. This resulting light we perceive as red. This is the same effect that causes sunsets and sunrises to turn the sky a reddish colour; an alternative way of considering the problem is to realise that, as viewed from the Moon, the Sun would appear to be setting (or rising) behind the Earth.

The amount of refracted light depends on the amount of dust or clouds in the atmosphere; this also controls how much light is scattered. In general, the dustier the atmosphere, the more that other wavelengths of light will be removed (compared to red light), leaving the resulting light a deeper red colour. This causes the resulting coppery-red hue of the Moon to vary from one eclipse to the next. Volcanoes are notable for expelling large quantities of dust into the atmosphere, and a large eruption shortly before an eclipse can have a large effect on the resulting colour.

The past week

I received this email message today and thought it summed up what i became aware of about 12 days ago. It feels like yesterday late evening, early morning the energy began to shift, and for all of you that were feeling this shift, your energy will likely feel more connected and clear. Many of you may have had a difficult human week. Please recognize that it is to allow us to see clearly that which is not working, make adjustments to it, and move forward. I myself had many experiences of awareness, and have awakened to a beautful day with clear vision of the steps ahead.. I wish the same for you! ~ Enjoy, Sunny

Howdy all, what a week of fluctuations. for some, a heavy emotional experience has dominated you week. It was as if you could not escape it. as of yesterday, those who have maintained neutrality should feel a insightful lifting around you conscious thoughts. Many of you are on the brink of financial drought, do not attach to the deficit thoughts of old. Anytime you have chosen to change your thought, your life, your career, it is not unusual to go through financial transition, this is just an examination of your motivation to see if you are truly ready for a life change, or to remain the same. Drastic thought changes create drastic life changes. If you remained neutral during this heavy phase, you will see the light of success. Your ideas will flow, your excitement will flow, you will flow. those who chose to visit shadow, yet again, well, let’s just say you had a HELL of a week. Do not beat yourself up, this time, especially, your choice is to HONOR and APPRECIATE what YOU have chosen to go through. You do this to show yourself that you are tired and fed up with your shadow once and for ALL. Treat yourself to a night out, you deserve it no matter what way you chose to go, they are both for your conscious expansion. I share with all. ~shared with permission from Charles Marshall “The Soul Mechanic”

Life…

What a week it has been. I am not sure how many of you have felt the shift in energy the past 10 days, but it is amazing to me. I have had several experiences in my own life that have caused me to go back to the beginning…The basics. I have been reminded, time and time again that it is so so so important to trust your guidance, your instincts, your intuition. I say this and teach this and live this… but have been reminded in BIG ways how very true it is. I am so very grateful that i am aware of this message, this important truth again! I am also aware of the strength and courage that come with the awareness, and am grateful for this as well. I am blessed! What are you grateful for today? Please share what you are grateful for with me:) ~ Sunny

Going on Retreat - From the daily Om

Sedona Retreat 2007

February 5, 2008
Making Time For Reflection

Going On Retreat Giving ourselves time to reflect and heal can be a powerful way to process the things that are happening in our lives, and one of the best approaches to do this is by going on a retreat. Going on a retreat means that we have set the intention to heal and learn more about our spirit, and doing this is a decision that we make for ourselves.Since everyone sees and experiences the world differently, it is important to choose a type of retreat that works best for us. Even though a friend or loved one may recommend something, we have to trust our intuition and select a path that really connects with what our soul needs most at the time. The most essential thing is to be willing to respect our unique stage of development and to be patient with ourselves since any thoughts or issues that arise are simply part of the process of healing. Just remembering that a retreat is an intense period of time where serious soul searching takes place can help us allow whatever may happen to us to fully unfold. Going on retreat may sound like a vacation, but most retreat experiences ask you to look deep inside of yourself, and sometimes this can be uncomfortable or stir the pot of our soul.Putting our trust in the retreat process will make space for the necessary work we have to do, making it easier for our hearts and minds to explore wholly the innermost reaches of our soul. By paying attention to these messages, we pave the way for greater healing and transformation, since spending time in contemplation at a retreat will give us the gift of insight and understanding that we can use in all aspects of our daily lives.

Love is letting go

This morning, my family had to let our 2 black lab mix dogs, that we have had for over 14 years, return to the spirit world. It was such a gut wrenching choice, but a choice made with much love and compassion. For several months now, we have known that the time would come to make this decision, as they were both almost completely blind, deaf, and had hip dysplasia and arthritis. For them, just getting up and walking had become tough. So, it was time. We made the appointment, with broken hearts last week.

AS the universe would have it, we woke up this morning to rain, which isn’t real common in Arizona… and our dogs, Brutus and Zainey (brother and sister) love the rain. We woke to them happy and tails a wagging… I thought, maybe we are suppose to keep them for a bit longer, but my spirit said different. My spirit said they were happy, tails waggin because they were ready to go home. To choose new bodies that are healthy, if they so desired, and to play in doggy heaven.

And, so it is with sadness and happiness for their freedom that I write this, asking for prayers for my family, especially my son Crew, who has had these dogs since he was three. It took Brutus less than 10 seconds to transition and Zainey less than a minute. For those of you that have walked this path, I send you my love as well. It was my first experience letting go of a pet, and I hope it will be my last.

What I learned from this experience  that LOVE really is letting go:)

Blessings to all of you who have had to make this heart wrenching decision. ~ Sunny Dawn
